Care for a Hot Tea?

Let's play another ABC. Today's letter is H for HOT TEA.

Here's some of the Health Benefits of Hot Tea?

1. Tea contains antioxidants. Tea's antioxidants protect your body from the ravages of aging and the effect of pollution.

2. Tea has less caffeine than coffee. An 8-ounce cup of coffee contains around 135mg caffeine while tea contains only 30-40mg per cup.

3. Tea may reduce your risk of heart attack and stroke. Drinking tea may help reduce heart attack and stroke because it cleanses your arteries from blood clots formed from cholesterol and blood platelets.

4. Tea protects your bones. Not only milk can help you strengthen your bones but as well as tea maybe this is because of the phytochemicals that tea contains.

5. Tea gives you a sweet smile. Tea can give you beautiful smile kepping plaque away because tea contains fluoride and tannins too.

6. Tea bolster your immune defenses. Drinking tea may help your body's immune system fight off infection.

7. Tea protects against cancer. Tea contains cancer-fighting effects called polyphenols, an antioxidant.

8. Tea is calorie-free. Tea doesn't have any calories, unless you add sweetener or milk so tea is the best drink for anyone who's weight conscious.

So ditch off coffee now and switch to a cup of hot tea. wink*

  5. Well, being English, I get through a lot of tea - even now there is a new bag of tea the size of a carrier bag in my cupboard - but never English Breakfast! I prefer something stronger!

  8. I actually LIKE tea, but am totally off drinking it for some reason.

In the USA north, if you ask for tea, you get hot tea unless you specify iced tea.

  9. You're so funny. You would have to be careful saying this in Portland, Oregon. Our life seems to revolve around coffee, bicycles, rain, and books.
