Green Mango

It's Wednesday and time to play the alphabet. Today's letter is "G" and G is for Green Mango.

Green mangoes can make your face looks ugly when eating it because of the sour taste but we Filipinos love to eat green mangoes especially with bagoong (salted and fermented tiny shrimps) and definitely a very good appetizer.

A Teacher's Exchange Link List

Here's the list of Teacher's Exchange Link Project hosted by the ever beautiful Vernz. I almost had the list deleted from my email because it was stored on the "spam" mails. Good thing I have checked the spam mail first before emptying it or else I won't be able to post the list, I'm sure Ate Vernz will spank me yay! (Sorry Ate Vernz! hihi)

F is for Flash Drive

What Do You Think of Her Answer?

The controversial Bb. Pilipinas Universe titlist Maria Venus Raj made it to top 10 candidates and later on ended up as 4th Runner-up on the recently concluded Ms. Universe 2010 Pageant.

Ms. Raj picked up Mr. William Baldwin to question her. The question goes: "What is one big mistake that you've made in your life and what did you do to make it right?"

Her answer: "Thank you so much, Sir for that wonderful question,You know what, Sir in my 22 years of existence I can say that there is nothing major major, I mean, problem that I have done in my life. Because I am very confident with my family, with the love that they are giving to me. So, thank you so much that I am here, thank you thank you so much".

Hmmmm... Do you think she answered it correctly?

Whatever it is she did her best in the pageant. Still we are proud of you for making it to final five. Congratulations.

GT: Wish to watch SALT with my Siblings

I've heard so much about the movie SALT and I am so curious and I want to watch it on big screen. Since the movie has so many great action feed backs I wish to watch it with my 2 elder brothers who surely love to action movies but sad to say that will not happen these days because they are both living at our hometown Zamboanga City while I am starting my new life here in Iligan City.

So for now I'll settle watching the movie with hubby dear this week if it is already being shown at Gaisano Mall. I'll need to check it out first.

Have a Happy Thursday Girly Friends.

Before we drove back to Iligan City last Sunday, Hubby, Nice and I decided to have our dinner first at SM Cagayan de Oro City. The 2-hour drive home will surely make us hungry. I told them to try Teriyaki Boy a Japanese Restaurant now had a franchised at SM CDO and so we did. We've ordered the following dishes Teriyaki Boy Chicken, Katsudon, Ika Fry, and Gohan and also their sort of fried rice that I've forgot the Japanese name.

Here are two yummy photos for you. Enjoy!

GT: Serendipity

My boyfriend (now my husband) and I loved to watched movies together whether in a movie house or in a 21" television with dvd playing along. Years back we've purchased dvds at a video shop (we mostly chose love stories) then watched the movie at home. From the group of dvds we brought home, "Serendipity" was our favorite.

For those who hadn't seen it, Serendipity is a romantic comedy film starred by John Cusack and Kate Beckinsale, the story was about two individual who met at the height of Christmas shopping both trying to buy the same pair of gloves. They felt mutual attraction between them, but since they both are in a relationship they allowed fate to take control of their future. Jonathan (John Cusack) wrote his name and phone number on a $5 dollar bill while Sara (Kate Beckinsale) wrote her name and number on the inside cover of a used book. And if they are meant to be together Jonathan will find the book and Sara will find the $5 bill.

Three years later, fate has finally took control. Jonathan got the copy of the used book given to him by his fiancѐ. Jonathan called off his wedding and decided to go out and look for Sara, meanwhile Sara found the $5 note with Jonathan's name written in it she too took off  and went looking for Jonathan and they both found each other while wandering around Central Park.

If you just believe, Fate will indeed take control of your future.

Happy Thursday Everyone!

D for Doreamon

This is one of my favorite anime shown in Philippine television and of course it is translated into Filipino language so that kids and adults will understand and enjoy the series.

According to wikipedia, Doraemon is a Japanese manga series created by Fujiko F. Fujio (the pen name of Hiroshi Fujimoto) and Fujiko A. Fujio (the pen name of Motō Abiko) which later became an anime series and Asian franchise. The series is about a robotic cat named Doraemon, who travels back in time from the 22nd century to aid a schoolboy, Nobita Nobi.

A majority of Doraemon episodes are comedies with moral lessons regarding values such as integrity, perseverance, courage, family and respect for elders.

Therefore, Doreamon is one of the anime very suited for children because of the moral lessons it implies.

And this is my Doreamon stuff toy that I've bought at "Savers" one of the thrift shop at Gaisano Mall in Iligan City.

 Happy Wednesday Everyone!

My 23rd Week

I've signed up for a weekly newsletter from Baby Center and today I received an email containing information of 23rd week pregnancy. Accordingly, at 23rd week my little angel now looks like a miniature newborn, with his lips becoming more distinct and his eyes have developed; though the iris still lacks pigment, his eyebrows and eyelids are in place. The pancreas, essential for hormone production, is developing steadily and the first signs of teeth are showing beneath his gum line.

At this stage I feel like I'm gaining weight more than the total pounds I have gain ed last month because my appetite is increasing.

Do I need to go diet from this date onwards? My OB hadn't advise me to refrain from eating too much yet. Let's see on my next prenatal.

Pretty in Pink

Spotted this pretty pink and yellow flower in front of our office. Lucky to bring my camera with me and decided to take her photo.

Isn't she lovely? I'll sure get a macro shot of her next time.

Saturday in CDO

We had another trip to Cagayan de Oro City last Saturday with ain purpose to visit housing sites. Hubby and I are looking for low cost housing in CDO because it is projected that by 2012 or 2013 our Regional Office will be transferred to CDO, and since we still don't have our own house here in Iligan City we decided to settle in CDO for good in the future.

After visiting some of the subdivisions/housing sites we had our lunch at an eat all you can seafood restaurant along Gusa Highway then proceeded to SM City to start our baby shopping spree. We started buying some of the basic things needed for our first child, since it will be difficult for me to travel again to CDO on my last trimester.

After buying the baby stuffs we rested and had our snacks in one of the coffee shop in SM. We heard that a local actor from Manila will be at the mall that day to promote products so we decided to stay for a while and waited for him to come out.

And there he goes, the ever hunk Alfred Vargas promoting Warren Underwear Products. The girls just can't resist shouting and waving to him, and that includes me too. lol.

Homemade Grilled Tuna

This is our favorite "handa" everytime we have occasion at home or during picnics. A homemade grilled fresh tuna panga. Best eaten with rice and matching chili soy sauce and calamansi.

Gutom na ba kayo? Have some...

Have a Happy Food Trip Friday!

On My Fifth Month

Today marks my fifth month of pregnancy. I am suppose to be feeling my baby's first hard kicks but sad to say I hadn't felt anything yet. Should I be worried?

Maybe my little angel doesn't like to kick his/her mom yet. But I'm looking forward for it, because this is one of the excitement a first time mom should experience.

Anyway, I'll tell you as soon as I got it.

GT: Reel Life with a Friend

Have you seen Sex and the City 2? Me? eckkk!.. nope that is why I'm choosing this movie to watch with my girl friend because I'm sure hubby will not watch the movie with me he rather tune in to Discovery Channel than watching the movie.

And also since I wasn't able to watch the the first part I need to watch it with my girl friend too.

C is for Concert

My entry for today's ABC Wednesday is C for Concert. I took this photo last year when "Bamboo" had his concert in the city.
