Inside CROCS Boutique

In searched for something Orange to post, I finally found one.

I was so tired doing unplanned shopping at SM Davao Jefer and I took a seat inside CROCS boutique, while Tatang our officemate and at the same time shopping companion was busy looking for a pair of slip-ons and at the same time taking photos. And he did catch me with face looking so tired.

Safari Animals Costumes

Months before, I was torn between two party themes for my son's birthday, Woody of Toy Story or Jungle Safari. My mind was 75% set to take the Toy Story theme, I started my quest by searching the internet for online shop selling Woody's costume, but wasn't able to find one with size the fits a 1 year old boy. I thought of having it made in a local dress shop but out of a sudden I change my mind.

Yep! I did dropped the Toy Story and shifted on taking the Jungle Safari theme with only less than a month left before the big day.

Of course I have to justify why I did it, and the biggest reason I can think of is, too difficult to find Woody's Costume for my son, that includes the cowboy hat and boots.

Now that I have made up my mind, there's no turning back now. Because as of now I already purchased online some safari animal costumes for my Xye's pictorial. I bought 4 costumes namely: giraffe, zebra, lion and monkey. You might think I'm too extravagant by buying all four, actually after my son's pictorial I'm going to resell these in my online shop too. justifiable right? lol..

because zebra is black and white I'm sharing this post for

Ruff Boys

RUFF BOYS that's what is written on Xye's orange shirt. Cute and almost new shirt that I have found in ukay-ukay shop. The red/black Nike cap was a gift from Andre.

I edited and merged 3 different photos in one with a 6x4 inches paper size. This photo will be included in my next visit at my favorite photo developing center for printing.

Showing off His Front Teeth

In my last post, I purposedly opened Xye's mouth to show-off his newly erupted upper teeth. This time he voluntarily showed it off by grinning infront of his favorite DVD the Leapfrog Letter Factory.

With the TV set on, this little guy forgets about the pain and itchiness the he felt brought about by his new front teeth.

Save More on Groceries

Saturdays or Sundays are our usual grocery days, and yesterday hubby and I went to purchase our needed items/goods for this week.

It's not my thing to go directly on stalls where promos, discounted products are usually placed. But lately after becoming a mother and with so many monthly expenses, I need to learn how to budget and save even on groceries and other necessities.

Looking into these products on promos, I found items that we frequently used at home. And you know what, I actually did save more from them.

Here's some of the basic necessities at home that I got on promo at Gaisano Supermarket;

diapers for my son
I usually buy two brands of diaper and are being used on different time like pampers active during night time while huggies dry during the day. The reasons are, though pampers is a little expensive but it absorbs more at longer hours, perfect on night time while the other one is more economical during the day. What I love about huggies also is their promo just like above, 3 pieces free when you buy a pack of 20, that's one great deal for me.

lysol disinfectant
This is a must at home especially when you have baby around, your home our home should be disinfected from time to time to prevent the spread of virus. You'll get 15% more when you buy the 586.5g of Lysol Spray. My favorite is the Crisp Linen scent the one at the leftmost.

downy antibac

I have tried so many fabric conditioner before but I never settled in any of them except downy antibac. The very reason why i love it because it has the most mild scent for me, unlike others with strong scent that my nose can't take.

Saving few pennies from groceries is a good start for me to become a frugal mom.

Toys Window Shopping

Hubby and I went out this morning to buy our grocery for this week. Since we parked at the second floor of the provided parking area, we might as well pass at the second floor mall entrance. Before heading to the supermarket to do our thing we dropped by at the infant section to buy a new feeding bottle with sip straw for our little prince Xye. Because the department store has limited stocks we bought a 4 ounce slim bottle for now, and hope to but another one that is already a wide neck bottle.

After which we passed by another obstruction. Why obstruction, because toy section had become one after I become a mother. Because toys are indeed cute things that we want to buy for our little one. Hubby and I checked out some big plastic heavy equipment trucks and remote control nitro cars that we both want to buy for our little one. And since our son is too young to play them yet, hubby and I decided to come back and definitely buy those when Xye is ready to play and appreciate toys like that.

Meanwhile, since going to grocery was our main purpose we did and bought what we most need for this week.

Four Little Teeth

At age 11 months, my son's 3rd and fourth teeth had finally erupted and these really made him uneasy.

He had low grade fever the past 3 days, his gums are sore, he became cranky at night, and he wants to bite on anything he sees. To make it easier for him this "pooh soothing teether" that his pediatrician has given him, was finally put into use.

The yellow guy in red shirt, cute and DealFun soother had really helped a lot to ease Xye's painful experience these days.

My Baby Has Fever

This morning hubby called me while I'm at work that Xye has a temperature or 37.7 degrees celcius, the 2nd fever he had since birth. The first time he had a fever was when his first lower tooth had erupted. Today, he had the same fever, it could be that his first upper tooth is erupting? I guess it is, considering the gum is swelling. Anyway my baby is still under thorough observation giving him paracetamol every 4 hours to ease the fever. For now he's sleeping and around 11:30PM I'm expecting him to wake up and ask for his milk and that will be the time also for his next round of medicine.

Training or Fattening?

I wasn't able to blog the past few days because I was on work related training/seminar that started last Monday and will end tomorrow.

This is one of the privilege that our company is giving us. A chance to enhance ourselves and become more effective in our assigned field or functions. And you know what we can get aside from the knowledge, additional pounds or gain weight because on training like this heavy meals are always served with matching morning and afternoon snacks, that's why we call long hours training like this as "fattening session".

Here's some of the food served during the past days. I'm thankful to one of the participant who can't eat pork because he's a Muslim. Because of him our lunch menu became anall seafood menu. weeeh! love it! winks*

shrimps and crabs for lunch

melon and ripe mango for dessert

morning and afternoon snacks
and candies to help us stay awake

seminars = food trip
