Learning to walk just like on the Moon

At 9 months and 15 days Xye knows very well to make his walker run, he can do side steps inside his crib while holding on it's edge, walk forward when you hold both his hands. But I believe holding his hands to make him practice walking may cause injury in his arms and shoulder from sudden fall. Thus, to make it much safer for him, I bought this learn to walk assistance from an online shop. At first he doesn't like to be in it, he cried a lot but after many tries he finally was able to adopt.

Here is his walking story, as he tries to balance and walk towards his goal, the Orange Little Stool.

balancing
walking on step at a time
forward I'm almost there
I can see my goal now...
yippee! finally reach it.
huh! that was tiring, I need to take a rest first.

One great milestone from our little man.

First Crawl - Moving Forward

You read it right, my little boy Xye had his first crawl "forward" yesterday at age 9 months and 9 days. Actually he does know how to crawl but the opposite direction(backwards), and finally yesterday hubby told me when I arrived home from work that our son was able to crawl on his own and this time slowly moving forward. Hooray! What an achievement after hitting the floor the other night as he was trying his best to move his hand and knees while so that he can crawl. I guess getting hurt will give little ones more courage to achieve their goals.

Oh, he even showed me his new milestone yesterday when I arrived home.

One milestone now written on his milestone record.

Colorful Boats

Just came home from Cagayan de Oro City today. Had attended a meeting with power customers the whole day.

Since the business meeting was held near Lim Ket Kai Mall, I was able to roam around during lunch break. And I found these cheap colorful boats at 25% discount at Robinsons Department Store. I think my son will love these when place on his bath tub. Can't wait to see him play with it tomorrow during his early morning bathe.

My New HD Multimedia Player

I had so many downloaded series and movies on my external hard drive but I hate to watch it on my laptop with an obvious reason it has a very small screen. What I did before is to copy the avi files to my 16GB flash drive and play it on my dvd player attached to my television set. I was contented then because I have no choice, until recently an officemate show me his new toy an HD multimedia player. Yep! this little gadget can definitely ease my viewing worries.

Since it's not available yet here in Iligan City or in Cagayan de Oro City I asked my friend who's working at Cebu City to buy one for me.

And today, I received my new ASUS Mini O Play Multimedia player, my new toy and a definitely needed gadget for a k-drama addict me.

Xye's 9th Month

Xye turned 9 months old on August 15, 2011 and as always I bought a set of cupcakes to celebrate the day. We had a little pictorial but it turned out the little celebrant had not looked at the camera's direction. He was busy looking at his colorful cupcakes, trying to think of ways on how to grab one. lol

Xye was a bit successful because he was able to touch letter "Y".

What's My Favorite Sports?

When I read about the latest giveaway hosted by Mirage, I got excited because it's all about sports. And I'm a very sporty type of person, because I can easily learn any sports as long as I'm willing to (charr!), except swimming I think because until now I still do not know how to swim.

I used to be a softball player (varsity by the bench, lol) on my high school, played basketball on college (during inter-college competition, kahit sobrang liit ko), and lately I played volleyball and table tennis for our inter-department competition. But no sports can replace my all-time favorite sports Badminton. I love it no matter what. I used to be active in local competition playing mid-level class and had won quite a lot in my category but had laid low after giving birth. I'm not that fit anymore for competitions, at medyo tumatanda na. But still, I'm playing my sports until now for health sake and as lose weight alternative.

So here's some photos in action taken in 2008 during our last National Sportsfest with our used to be mother company TransCo.

Since I'm reminiscing the past here might as well, share this post for Nostalgia.
