On Occupational Health and Safety of Employees



The company I work at is very particular with the occupational health and safety of the employees. Safety seminars, fire drills, etc.are being conducted yearly.  Early this year an air quality test was conducted in every department. The purpose of the test was to determine the quality of indoor air, which includes the temperature, humidity, poor ventilation or exposure to chemicals. If the indoor air turned out to be hazardous to employees’ health, a 3m full face respirator may be issued temporarily until the problem will be corrected. Furthermore, illumination test was also conducted to test if the lighting we have at the office was sufficient and ideal. Because poor lighting or too much light can strain eyes thus affects the quality of work and decrease productivity. So far the test results were satisfactory and had passed the desired standard.
