Cute Baby + Cute Puppies

I saw this photo shared in my FB wall today. The baby and bulldog puppies look so cute sleeping together right?

source

Although I love puppies but I will not allow them to sleep with my baby, for the sake of photo op, I’ll consider.

On the other hand, I wanted bulldogs or the small version pugs as pets and have them sleep in cat foam beds that are also very comfy for little dogs. But pugs are expensive I can’t afford to get one, I hope somebody will give me instead. hehehe

We are Expecting a Baby GIRL!

I was supposed to do this post two weeks ago right after my appointment with the doctor but things came up and wasn't able to compose it. Maybe because of the excitement, that persisted until now, until the d-day, until I hold her in my arm. Yep! HER because we're expecting a BABY GIRL! woot whooo!

At 21 weeks and 3 days gestation two weeks ago, I had an appointment with my OB for a schedule Congenital Anomaly Scan (CAS), it's not actually a scan that will determine the gender of the baby, but since we were already having the ultrasound, peeping on the baby's gender will not hurt, though sometimes because of the thickness of tummy fat will obscure the view. But according to may OB she can see that it's a girl! Well, I do hope she saw it clearly because I definitely want a girl. hihihi

CAS also called mid-pregnancy ultrasound scan is usually done at 20-22 weeks of pregnancy to check the development of the baby inside the womb. The sonographer who happens to be my OB-Perinologist checked and measured the baby's body parts, that includes the shape and structure of the head, face, spine, abdominal wall, heart, stomach, kidneys, arms, hands, legs, feet, placenta, fluid etc.

While the doctor is conducting the scan, I was watching the entire process on the other screen. The scan lasted about 30 minutes and so far the results were all normal! Thank You Lord!

Now at 22 weeks 7 days, with 17 more weeks to go I continuously pray for a healthy pregnancy, no complications, normal delivery, and healthy and normal baby.

Meanwhile, with a girl coming, I want to make personalized accessories for her, I'm planning to learn how to crochet. Yep! I've seen a lot of cute crochet baby stuffs, like those made by Momaye and I really want to make some for my baby.

I even bought yarns and hooks yesterday. Though, I still have to download and watch tutorials because I'm a complete newbie in this craft. I hope I can learn it soon. If not I have to resort to other option like buying ready made hehehe..

Toy Story Monday: Little Tikes Hummer 2

As much as I want to buy a remote control battery operated riding toy for my son. like this Hummer 2 from Little Tikes, I really can't afford it.  Maybe if I win the lottery I can consider...

source
Instead, I settled for the smaller version of Hummer 2 (H2) also from Little Tikes that I found at the Toys Surplus Shop in Davao City. I got his little toy that is still in good physical condition around P100-P120 ($2.7) months ago.

The engine compartment should sparkle when reved up but sadly it does not work anymore, hubby will try to fix it soon...

Nevertheless, Xye still enjoys the playing with his 2nd hand H2.

If budget permits, I want to buy branded toys for my little one, because of the durability and safety features of the toys. But most of them are very expensive when sold in the Philippine market. So whenever I'm in Davao City my friend will accompany me to the surplus shop that sells branded toys from US. I do not know it the bodega shop is still open these days. I'll ask my friend first.

Tiny Buds Tiny Fang Kiddie Tooth Gel

I was looking for a fluoride-free tooth gel for X, because we’ve ran out of SansFlou toothgel (the toothgels I won in a giveaway) that he has been using. Yep! SansFlou was the only toothgel I know that is flouride-free until I saw Tiny Buds Tiny Fangs at SM.

The moment I spotted them I immediately grabbed two tubes, the Stage 1 and Stage 2 toothgels.

Both toothgels are Fluoride-Free, Paraben-free, SLS-free and No Artificial Color definitely safe for children.

Tiny Fangs Stage 1 is a xylitol toothgel with non-foaming formula suited for children 6 months up. It has a strawberry banana flavour and sweet smell that children will love.

When the child already knows how to spit or already 3 years old, he is ready for the Tiny Fangs Stage 2. TF Stage 2 is also a xylitol toothgel this time with low foaming formula suited for children 3 years old and up. It has a Tutti Frutti flavour and is a preparatory for adult toothpaste.

I let Xye try the Stage 1 first and he’s quite okey with it. Then later tried interchanging with Stage 2 but I think he’s not ready for the foam and mint flavor, so we have to switched back to Stage 1.  So far Tiny Fangs is giving me a positive result, Xye was able to maintain his white teeth and had waved goodbye to bad breathe.

Disclaimer: This is not a paid post, I'm only sharing my views about the products.

Dreaming for a Beautiful yet Simple Kitchen

Having our own home is our long time dream. We are planning and hoping that by next year we’ll be able to build our own home. We are still waiting for the lot title to be transferred to us so that we can apply for a housing loan thru Pag-ibig Fund.

Meanwhile, while browsing Pinterest, I found a lot of home decorating ideas that can be used as reference and woodworking supplies site that will be beneficial when the construction starts.

If budget permits, I want a beautiful yet simple kitchen like in the picture above that will encourage me to spend more time in it and eventually learn how to cook.

InstaPic: Pomelo + Rambutan

Last week my bff Charry visited the city to attend the yearly Sports Tournament conducted by our beloved company as part of the physical fitness program (as usual I wasn't able to join, hopefully by next year). And whenever she visits the city she makes sure to bring fruits with her straight from Davao City.

This time I received a box of pomelo and a plastic bag full of rambutan.

Woot hooo! I love it to the max! Thanks Charry for these sweet and delicious gifts from Davao City. :)

How to Make a Great Flyer

Whether it’s for business or events, print flyers should be done effectively. So how are we going to make a great flyer?

First you have to make it SIMPLE. Think of a short “catch phrase”. Flyer is about promoting your business or event, so make sure to choose a phrase that will catch people’s attention. You can enlarge the letter font, make it bold or change color, anything that will make it stand out.

Now that you already have the “catch phrase”, it’s time to include important information. It can be about the event, special offers, or about the products and services. For business include your business name, contact number, and address while for events the date, time and location should be indicated. But always remember to make it short as possible because too wordy print flyers will surely dissuade the readers.

For bonus points, make the flyers visually attractive by including photos or logos relevant to the subject.

Finally, proof read the flyer. Make sure all the contents are correct before printing them.

A Hopeful Musician

Last year, I got a chance to have a little reunion with my college friends + our college professor in Metro Manila, after we attended the National Convention for Electrical Engineers. Coy my classmate, now work colleague fetched me first. Our meeting place was at his apartment somewhere in Baclaran. While waiting for the rest of the group, I got a chance to explore his apartment, he showed me his little music studio. Yep! Coy is really into music, not only he plays the guitar but at the same time he is creating his own music.  I saw 3-4 electrical guitars, computers, amplifiers, etc. I think I also saw a music equipment that looks like the cheap pod farm at musicians friend. He even let me listen to some of his arranged music, and they were all beautifully made. I hope this talented friend of mine will be able to create music that the whole world will love.
