Early Visit at our Angel's Resting Place

We woke up early today and went to Divine Shepherd Memorial to visit our angel’s grave. We purposely went there as early as 6:30AM this morning to avoid the crowd.

Bringing with us are candle and the two sets of flowers that I personally arranged last night, composing mostly of mums of white and yellow.

I arranged the flowers in such a way it will fit the small space of the apartment type bone and ash chamber.

This is our angel resting place.

Our little angel that will always be with us and always looking after us.

Christmas and Gift Giving Tips

source
Christmas is almost here and there are a lot of things to be excited about during this season, and gift giving is one of them.  After all Christmas is all about giving and making people happy because this is the day when Jesus Christ Our Savior was born.

But spending on gifts doesn’t mean you have to spend more than what you have earned, limits should be set.

Always make a list of the people you are planning to give presents to and their corresponding gift so that it will be easier for you to look for them. Women and girls love jewelries and accessories you can click here for wholesale jewelry that you can consider giving.
Bargains and sale is your best friend this season. Always look for discounted items. And most importantly avoid Christmas rush by starting you shopping spree early.

Men and Watches

Do you know that men’s watches are not that popular until after the World War II? Accordingly, wristwatches were already issued to soldiers during the First World War as a means of coordinating mission and keeping them organized, but after the war the men returned to wearing pocket watches because only women wear wristwatches that time. It was only after WW II that men/soldiers retained using the wristwatches and hence wristwatch had become a man’s accessory.

These days there are a lot of styles available in the market. Men can choose from the most fashionable to simple designs the suit their taste. Men today own more than one watch that they can interchange depending on their mood and style.

I remember my ex-boyfriend turned husband back then, instead of wearing his wristwatch that his parents bought for him when he passed the EE board exam on his wrist he kept them in his pocket. But later when he started working, wristwatch had become the only accessory he can wear. Whenever I asked him what he wants as a gift he will always say a wristwatch. Well, that’s way before when we were still financially sufficient, unlike these days.

Since, Christmas is fast approaching and it’s been years since I got him a watch, I might give him another one when I receive my bonus. Hmmm let's see...

Health Benefits of Apricot

Apricots are small orange golden fruit, with velvety skin and flesh, though they are not too juicy but these fruits are definitely smooth and sweet. Honestly, I have never seen a fresh apricot fruit but I have tried a preserved one made into a jam.

Do you know that this golden orange fruit that is relative to peaches has a lot of health benefits? Here are some that I have read;

Vitamin A – Apricots are good source of Vitamin A. And taking in vitamin A helps promote healthy vision and reduce the risk of age-related macular degeneration.

Vitamin C – Vitamin C are well known in boosting the immune system. Apricots are rich in vitamin C and therefore are good food in reducing the risk of cardiovascular disease. It reduces LDL also known as bad cholesterol, thus reduces also the risk of heart attack and improves heart health.

Anti-oxidant - Apricots are powerful antioxidants and are therefore effective in reducing the risk of many cancers, heart diseases and improves skin health.

Rich in Dietary Fiber – If you are planning to lose weight, apricots can help because aside from they are high in fiber they are also low in calories.

Apricots can be consumed in fresh or dried form and both are equally beneficial. I hope to see apricots in the supermarket because the moment I saw them I’ll definite grab some, and even try the bitter raw apricot kernels.

Tourist Attractions in Bohol Ruined by Earthquake

The 7.2 earthquake that hit Bohol and nearby provinces in the Philippines had greatly affected not only the residences but also the tourist attractions that the island offers. From historic churches that were built more than hundred years ago were ruined and the even the famous chocolate hills was not spared.

I remember how this beautiful natural attraction had awed me when we visited Bohol in 2009. Standing on top of the highest hill, the viewing area where you can see and mesmerized the vast land of more than 50 square kilometers and at least 1,260 hills, was an amazing experience.

Unfortunately, the viewing area and some hills were damaged by the quake on October 15, 2013. I hope that the government will be able to reconstruct the area soon.

My family and I would like to visit Bohol again in the near future and by that time I will not limit myself from seeing the hills by the distance but to touch and explore the hills using atv 110cc. I remember back then that there are guide groups that offer all terrain vehicles rental. I swear to definitely try them. winks*
